On a first date, we can learn a lot about each other before either of us says a single word, and even amidst the jitters and the butterflies that inevitably come, you will show off a lot of what makes you special during your girlfriend experience.
What a lot of men do on a first date that they really shouldn’t, in my opinion, is worry more about not giving off red flags and getting themselves too tightly wound to have a really good time.
Instead, relax and be your authentic self. I’m more interested in getting to know you than trying to peer behind the mask.
Rather than focus on the negative, here are a few of the biggest green flags you can fly on a first date.
Being Open And Honest
The biggest green flag any man can give is being open and ready to connect on a deeper, more personal level. It is something that I particularly love because I am interested in learning more about what makes you tick as a person, as well as what makes you tick in the bedroom.
It’s a subtle sign of confidence, and that is always very attractive to someone who wants to make you feel like the king you are!
Being Respectful And Considerate To Other
Respecting boundaries is so important to me that it transcends being a green flag, but you learn a lot about people not only by how they treat you, but also by how they act around other people whilst you are on a date with them.
There are a lot of tiny little signs of respect, from trying to arrive on time, asking about your interests, being present in the moment, active listening and how you treat waiters and other people you interact with during our date.
Having An Interest That Makes Your Eyes Sparkle
The best part of a first date is when you hit on a topic that makes your eyes light up and you start to break the ice.
Whether the topic is literature, fine dining or geopolitics, that sense of engagement and the twinkle in your eye that comes with it is something really special.
